Patchwork cushion

By EasternWeft

Japanese Boro stitching inspired cushion. Boro is a Japanese tradition of repairing, reusing, mending textiles. This is done by piecing layers, patching and stitching to extend the life of the textile or repurpose.

Here, antique Japanese Kimino and Lao textiles have been patched and layered together to create a unique design. All pieces have been indigo dyed.

The lining is cotton and the back is made of linen.
