Brittle Gum (E. Mannifera) and Silver Dollar (E. Cinerea) are two of the many eucalyptus species that produce magnificent shades of red on silk and wool when the leaves are boiled up. They also create crisp prints when used for contact or eco bundle dyeing.
This pack contains :
- 300 grams of dried leaves that have been carefully selected for the dyer to achieve clear and crisp prints.
- Three large piece of fabric ; one piece of calico fabric, one piece of wool and one piece silk fabric and
- 20grams of alum rock that can be used to mordant at least 400 grams of fabric.

These leaves were harvested from trees in the garden of our sewing studio, in a suburb of Canberra. The dye garden contains native plants from Cool Country Collective nursery in Pialligo, Canberra.
The natural alum rock was collected from Laos.
