Brittle Gum (E. Mannifera) and Silver Dollar (E. Cinerea) are two of the many eucalyptus species that produce magnificent shades of red on silk and wool when the leaves are boiled up. They also create crisp prints when used for contact or eco bundle dyeing.
This pack contains 300 grams of a mixture of dried Eucalyptus Cinerea and Eucalyptus mannifera leaves of all shapes and sizes for those who want to achieve rusty red colours from eucalyptus leaves. Also 10grams of alum rock.
A tutorial will be sent by email once your order has been placed.
These leaves were harvested from trees in our sewing studio and dye garden located in Canberra, Australia. The dye garden contains native plants from Cool Country Collective nursery in Pialligo, Canberra.
The natural alum rock was collected from Laos.
