Brittle Gum (E. Mannifera) and Silver Dollar (E. Cinerea) are two of the many eucalyptus species that produce magnificent shades of red on silk and wool when the leaves are boiled up. They also create crisp prints when used for contact or eco bundle dyeing.
This pack contains 300 grams of dried Eucalyptus Cinerea leaves of all shapes and sizes for those who want to create immersive dye bath of red eucalyptus leaves. Also included are square pieces of calico, silk and wool fabric and 10grams of alum rock.
A tutorial will be sent by email once your order has been placed.
These leaves were harvested from trees in our sewing studio and dye garden located in Canberra, Australia. The dye garden contains native plants from Cool Country Collective nursery in Pialligo, Canberra.
The natural alum rock was collected from Laos.
